New functions linking to NuHealth’s website from Facebook, will allow patients to request appointments, access medical records, refill prescriptions, find a doctor and obtain wellness information

East Meadow, NY……NuHealth’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Arthur Gianelli has announced the unveiling of NuHealth’s groundbreaking “Talking Well” social media campaign launching on Facebook and Twitter this month. Coordinated with new key features on NuHealth’s website, www.nuhealth.net, the campaign offers unique access to allow patients to more easily manage medical services and records.

“We are eager to broaden our conversation with our community on these dynamic formats, exchanging health tips, insights and information to better serve our patients and their families,” Gianelli commented.  “By integrating our ‘Talking Well’ campaign on these two platforms we gain the unparalleled access social media has to offer as we effectively communicate our commitment to our community’s continued wellness and peace of mind.”

Tapping into the national and international health and wellness conversations taking place on Facebook and Twitter, NuHealth department heads and staff can share first-hand accounts of state-of-the-art surgeries and provide valuable community resources in the promotion of wellness and healthy choices in lifestyle, fitness and nutrition.

“We are committed to the continued health and well-being of our community and eager to strike up a daily dialogue which reaches deep into the community to share access and information on health screenings, wellness tips, smoking cessation, diet and exercise, as well as share patient success stories which are unfolding each and every day at NuHealth,” Gianelli explained.

In addition to the Talking Well campaign, four new user-friendly features on NuHealth’s website now allow patients to make an appointment, access medical records, refill prescriptions via a partnership with Walgreens, and find a doctor with the click of a button.

This coordinated campaign seeks to optimize opportunities to communicate NuHealth’s mission in advancing   the continued health of the community at large while shedding light into NuHealth’s leading medical initiatives as they break new ground in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, bariatric surgery, heart health and women’s services.  A regular focus of the Talking Well social media campaign will spotlight weekly installments of “The Doctor Is In,” a video series hosted by NuHealth’s Medical Director, Steven J. Walerstein, MD, FACP, which provides insights into medical treatments and procedures to offer patients a more complete understanding of their medical treatments and preventative measures. Designed to empower patients to maintain health and wellness, Walking Well, Eating Well and Being Well segments highlight simple methods to improve your daily practices.
