NuHealth’s division of Gynecologic Oncology provides care for women with cancers that attack the female reproductive system, organs, including the ovaries, uterus, cervix, fallopian tubes, vagina and vulva. Each year, approximately 82,000 women are diagnosed with cancer of the reproductive organs, including ovarian cancer and cervical cancer.

The division provides a full range of services for female oncology patients, from diagnosis to treatment by medical or surgical intervention. In some cases, it is possible to minimize discomfort and scarring through minimally-invasive laparoscopic surgery. The division also performs the LEEP procedure, which uses state-of-the-art technology to remove precancerous cells from the cervix more easily.
